I see. Dave is about as lawyer-averse as I am (and I really don't like
using the legal system at all). Dave, you should know that you don't joke
about legal stuff -- it's too easy for someone who's serious to cover their
stuff up with "i was joking", and people can't tell the difference.

And on the whole "we want the domain" thing -- ubuntu.com.au isn't even the
right domain for the Ubuntu-au team, either in it's current form or in it's
proposed formal structure. I'd suggest that ubuntu.com.au should be a link
farm to companies that provide support for Ubuntu in Australia -- hell, make
it just the Australian Ubuntu Marketplace page, that way nobody can say that
Sol1 is taking undue advantage of having the foresight to register the
domain (although I'm sure somebody will, by the mere presence of the
company's name on the page).

The Ubuntu-au team should really have either of ubuntu.org.au or
ubuntu.asn.au. Considering the absolute pummeling that Sol1 has gotten for
registering ubuntu.com.au, I think you'll understand if I suggest that
somebody else should register and pay for the relevant domain(s) for the
team, though.
