Sure it works, but is it the best choice? While I am an avid Ubuntu supporter 
and an active Ubuntu-Au member, I must be honest and say that Ubuntu is 
probably not the most appropriate choice for such low-end hardware.

We must remember that Ubuntu is not the be-all and end-all of free software. 
In fact, the beauty of free software is that you can choose software (or a 
distribution of software) that best suits your needs.
