No that is not the current compiz icon..

 I am also partial to the vertical orientation of the compiz/unity symbol
 As I said ... I hope this logo gets accepted in which ever form the final
is.
I havent had time to do more of these but will try again this evening..
I think you have covered most of the options but cant hurt to try again :)
