Apologies for taking so long, I've meant to respond to this the day I saw it but things got in the way as usual. But, alas! I got some of my stuff together. :)
Please find it tarballed on http://progsoc.org/~ctd/klepas/eg-content-klepas.tar.gz
It includes several GIMP files which make use of layering, some more SVG files, including wallpapers and clip art as well as some other miscellaneous artwork that might be suitable for addition to this example pack. All this stuff I've licensed GPL. :)
Finally, I saw that on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ArtworkTeam/Requests some bullet points were needed. I've attached a bullet for that.
