Be fair - he didn't say that cookies _are_ viruses, and you can relate just
about anything if you try. In this case, viruses are an attack on my
property, and cookies can be an attack on my privacy. To the security
conscious, cookies _are_ a greater threat than viruses on Linux systems.

No, it would just be slow. We have the advantage over Windows in that we
have always identified the type of a file by its contents.
