The community is always welcome to raise technical issues with the 
technical board. The non-free graphics drivers by default is certainly 
one that I'm planning on bringing up myself at the next meeting. Of 
course, the way Ubuntu is set up means that Mark is able to make 
decisions without the consent of the rest of the developer base or the 
community at large - there's a reason for the "d" in "sabdfl". Changing 
that would be an effective change in the entire governance structure of 
Ubuntu, so it's not something that should (or could) just be changed on 
a whim.
