Sorry for the top posting here, I'm at work stuck with Outlook.

I put together the Ubuntu Starter Guide for Breezy, so my knowledge of both it and docbook in general is pretty good. I was also heavily involved with the planning of the Dapper version of it, as well as the Server guide but unfortunately my wife has had a new baby and this has been sucking the time out of me (catching up on sleep :) ). I'd love to be getting back into writing the docs and am willing to take around a week off work to attend such a sprint. I think we could pretty much nail the documentation and even some plans for the website with the time.

<SNIP>
indeed, as matt and others have pointed... doc-sprint is a very
important thing to do.

It seems that all more active doc-guys have job + life and even though
they know this is important, obviously they can't 'freeze' jobs to
attend.

I never thought I could say this... but for the very 1st time it feels
good I am jobless and volunteer at the same time. :D

However, the only thing I know about XML, so far, is a couple of tags.
Of course, if we did doc-work in Moin, that would be a very diff story
and sure I could be handy for the sprint idea.

PS: regarding 'books ideas'/ I have started to collect info about
Edubuntu (as many of you know I put most of my effort towards edubuntu)
so that I can begin writing a book in May.
