* Not everyone has decent and cheap internet access
* With a local search function you will get better results
* IMHO users should use packages provided by their distribution whenever
  possible to avoid problems. So IMHO it's better to show them only
  Ubuntu packages when they're looking for software.
* Having so much carefully prepared packages available is a great
  feature. There's no need to hide this from the users.
