Edubuntu not announced yet?

Hi folks,

I remember reading an Edubuntu announcement somewhere, but there hasnt yet
been a formal announcement at ubuntu-announce, and sites, such as
distrowatch ( http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=edubuntu ) don't
know of the release yet. I suppose that letting everyone know of Edubuntu's
first release would be cool, and was sort of missing it.
