Well, for one, it means that there's two Ubuntu distributions in the

I think people tend to use either KDE or GNOME. People who use a
combination (such as myself) are in the minority. I think people like
the idea of a single CD with all the software they need. I think Mark
Shuttleworth also mentioned in a recent mail that there needs to be a
distribution that pays special attention to KDE, and I think Kubuntu is
a great platform to do that with.

You can get it all together if you want. You can use jigdo to put
together the universe. I have a friend who has 3 Ubuntu DVD's containing
the entire universe (getting it next week). That way, you can install
Ubuntu, and then just apt-get install kubuntu-desktop. You can do this
if you have a good Internet connection too, so I don't think this is a
big problem.
