Yes. They have taken a firm position not to make the SUN Java
implementation itself free. We may be able to address the
redistributability issues in a way that will satisfy Debian and others,
but making the SUN JRE Software Libre is outside of the scope of our
discussions. We all wish it would happen, but then we all believe that
the free software community is likely to come up with an excellent free
alternative implementation in due course anyway :-)
