I am not a ubuntu developer, or a community man. I am just a quiet end user.
Hence, I don't know whether i am interrupting or interfering. If i am please
tell me.. :(
I am in India, where connectivity is slow, and expensive. Say, a 32kbps
connection which gives download speeds like 2kbps cost Rs. 600 per month.
And dial up to download ISO's is out of question - dial up here is
"pay-per-minute" fashion...
So, i agree that an install option would be nice. I mean, somehow i manage
to get my hands on a live cd, then, currently, i would be able to do nothing
with it - and would be forced to get the install cd as well. Which is, as i
said earlier, not feasible.
I know that the whole point of live cds is just to allow the user try and
feel Linux, not necessarily install it. But if the option existed, it would
be nice. Please give me your feedback on this.
Rohan.
