One solution might be to invite the operators of the two existing sites
to come together to work on on different parts of a new official site
that gets linked in to the Ubuntu front page, or even as a sub-domain
like artwork.ubuntu.org. This would bring more trafic their way and they
would also get support from Canonical for high capacity hosting. In
return, they would at regular intervals upload the top ranked artwork
from their site to gnome-look and kde-look to cfreate exposure.
