I have just started with snappy yesterday, I did everything according to
the getting started guide. :-) No hacking of any sort.

OK, let's see another camera. That's a Genius FaceCam 310.
On the console:

ubuntu at localhost:~$ [ 3643.324537] usb 2-1: device v0458 p7070 is not
supported

In dmesg:
[ 3643.073037] usb 2-1: new full-speed USB device number 3 using musb-hdrc

[ 3643.324537] usb 2-1: device v0458 p7070 is not supported

[ 3643.330166] usb 2-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0458, idProduct=7070

[ 3643.330178] usb 2-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2,

[ 3643.330188] usb 2-1: Product: FaceCam 310

[ 3643.522681] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device FaceCam 310 (0458:7070)

[ 3643.538420] input: FaceCam 310 as
/devices/ocp/47400000.usb/47401c00.usb/musb
-hdrc.1.auto/usb2/2-1/2-1:1.0/input/input1

[ 3643.539702] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo

[ 3643.539716] USB Video Class driver (1.1.1)

[ 3643.618964] usb 2-1: current rate 47872 is different from the runtime

000

[ 3643.635135] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio

Is it possible that this "device not supported" message is just spurious?
