I assume that bringing in 6.10 would certainly be s.th. with what many haskell 
users might be very happy, as I've seen a number of complaints about old ghc6 
versions so far.

However upgrading to 6.10 is also means a lot of work: All haskell libraries 
will need to be transitioned (and eventually ported) and most probably the 
haskell toolchain needs to be fiddled with.

~1 month before FeatureFreeze, I'm not entirely sure if we'll have the 
resources to do so. I'm only sure that I personally won't find the time to 
work on this task.
