[lubuntu-users] Trouble installing 16.04 via live USB, hard drive prob?

Thanks guys, appreciate the help. My problem is solved. It seems I should
have formatted the partition first before installing. But it also seems
like the live USB had something to do with the installation problem as
well. (I created another live USB using the latest 16.04.1).

Sorry for the confusion, I meant "clean install", NOT clean upgrade. I do
know the meanings and the difference between clean install and upgrade.

The disk is 1TB, but the partition for lubuntu installation is 40gb only.
Before the installation (or right after formatting the partition to ext4),
800mb of space was already used up. I asked if the 800mb initial used
space is normal.

The "Try Lubuntu without installing" did NOT work indeed, only the "Install
Lubuntu". I know because I tried it. That's why I created another live
USB, but this time with 16.04.1 (the latest). So now both tasks are
possible.

Anyway, moot points. The system is working.

Thanks again guys!
