14.04 seems subject to bug 1046563 with update-manager/notifier

It's now been 3 full days, and I have not been notified about any
available updates yet. A manual run of Software Updater now shows 4.3
MB available. So it does not seem that the delay is due to phased
updates, but that the bug 1046563 is still active here.
@bapoumba, you seemed to have the same problem. Any new observations?
And of course, there is also the other issue in the discussion at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2222325 -- the discrepancy
between updates found by update-manager and by Synaptic or apt-get
upgrade -- and I don't know of a bug report in connection with that. I
have not myself seen this second issue. Apt-get upgrade current offers
4.3 MB of upgrades, just as Software Updater does.
