very nice, i think window/menu shadows are unnecessary, if you just run
plain compton... with no shadows or anything it runs much leaner and
doesn't affect the rest of the system while still providing
transparency for things like plank... 

probably the best way to go, although without compton doesn't look bad
either and would probably be easier, unless Lubuntu is planning on
loading compton by default..
