Makes sense, but lets not bogged down with min. specs. I was just trying to highlight the area to be aimed at, so we all ahve the same target. If an app is sluggish on a dual core machine with a couple of gig of RAM or takes up a gig of disk space. It's not what we want. That's why I'm suggesting people put apps forward for people to try/test and then have a vote to give them the 'Lubuntu Seal of Approval'. The reason for the vote is so an app tested on a variety of hardware. The 'Quick Search' facility is often asked for in Synaptic, but it was found by people with machines of minimum spec to bog them down for several minutes. The was found to be the case with Firefox compared to Chromium. The same with the Live CD, where onbord video meant we had to increase the min. RAM requirements for it.

Anymore ideas, suggestions?
