Problem with upgrade of Lubuntu 11.10 to 12.04

Thanks so much for responding!  

I actually noticed during the Lubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 upgrade process, it
stated that some packages were being marked obsolete.  I checked that
list, and found (to my dismay) that qjackctl was one of those
packages.  

In hindsight, I should have elected to keep them all, since there wasn't
a way to keep just qjactctl, but I shrugged-it-off, thinking they were
replacing it with a newer version, and like an idiot, I accepted what
was suggested.  

But no, the upgrade process marked qjackctl obsolete, and there appears
to be no way to undo the damage, other than installing the entire
system.
