Folks:

Tried running apt update/dist-upgrade in GUI console, showing "220 packages
to upgrade" . . . partway through it errored out showing "sub-process
/usr/bin/dpkg returned error code (1) . . . tried to run -f install and
that also errored out showing "qtermwidget5-0" as the problem package.
Tried Muon package, but it didn't seem to have a "fix broken packages"
feature like Synaptic does, went to Synaptic, clicked "fix dependencies"
and a milli-second later it said "problem solved" . . . so I figured it
wasn't. Clicked on the "Broken" filter and it showed the "qtermwidget5-0"
package with a red box, I clicked to "reinstall" and the entire line
flashed "red"?? Checking "remove" showed three packages would be removed
with it, "lubuntu-desktop, lxqt-core, qterminal" so I figured better to NOT
remove. Quit Synaptic.

Back in terminal I tried to "autoremove" but it also errors out . . . so
unless using Synaptic to "remove" all of those packages is the best way to
go, then seems like we are stuck. A number of "report this problem"
windows opened and I sent them off already.

You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libqtermwidget5-0 : Depends: qtermwidget5-data (= 0.14.1-3) but
0.14.1-0ubuntu3 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or
specify a solution). [/code]

While posting here, I've been having a problem with my olde Powermac3,1
Sawtooth that was having problems running display over 45 mins, so I got a
newer Radeon card from OWC that was the same connection type as the
previous card, a little bit "faster" . . . but after doing that the ubuntu
16.04 system shows splash, cursor, but then goes to black screen. I found
some post about trying to find what driver is running, but it shows nothing
in TTY . . . did a "grep | vga" type command, came back blank. Then I
tried booting up a few different PPC 16.04 live DVD and USB drives, and
more or less the same deal, can see a short dmesg, splash, cursor, then
black. I tried "live" "video=ofonly" and "live video=ofonly
radeon.agpmode=1" (which used to work on my olde iBook with radeon card) .
. . but so far linux is not dropping into GUI?? Over in OSX 10.5 computer
boots up and runs the display just fine, 16.04 isn't. I even have a DVD of
U-MATE 17.04 hoping to get to "rescue" or "recovery" . . . but none of
those options show, I get the Yaboot window, pick "L" then either "return"
or the various "live" options, but all go to black. Anything else to try?
No rush on this one, just been trying to get this going beyond a TTY for
months now . . . continued failure to recognize the new card . . . .
