Yes, but what you're saying is that 20.10 is slow relative to 20.04.
Test that and only that. Don't add other variables in or you can't make
reasonable conclusions.

You can look at the [manifest][1] for 20.10 or the version number at the
[Ubuntu packages site][2] for groovy or the page for the source on
[Launchpad][3] and all three of them are using 5.8.0. If you have
anything less than that, you are most certainly doing something that
would be difficult to describe as "box stock."
