Thanks for the attention . . . but . . . no . . . I didn't say it was slow
compared to 20.04 . . . I said it is slow compared to each of my other 5
linux installs . . . . I boot into a new system every day, week after
week, so I get a good feel for each one and how it boots up . . . . Today
was Lu day, tomorrow is TW . . . and so on . . . .
I'll have to look into why uname -r is showing 5.4 kernel . . . the
original install was 20.04 or maybe it was 18.04 and I've upgraded it, to
what is now 20.10 . . . groovy.
About to sign off the net for the evening, but I'll be checking into the
"analysis" in the upcoming week and I'll check back in when I have some
"data" . . . .
