Please remember to include xserver-xorg-video-intel at least in the 
desktop iso files well in time for Lubuntu 16.04.1 LTS.

I tried the image (32 bit), unfortunately the flashing cursor with a
black screen problem is back.
Only able to boot into the system with the nomodeset option
