Hi,

there is air of 'moin wiki doesn't quite do it'.. This can be seen at
http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Kubuntu_Trusty

I'd ask people to take a good look at that site for several reasons.

It is more eye catching
It has really sharp full colour icons
It is blended in such a way you are encouraged to get a local copy ..

Yes, it would mean people learning the differences between moin and
mediawiki, that's for us 'old timers'.. new people will only need to learn
the one.

This project of manual has never taken off the ground, but with a move on a
different project from moin to wikimedia, there is a chance that we may
have enough people wanting to do and with the skills to do.

We are far to late for 16.04, but we have the exciting birth of LXQt to
come. Maybe now, with a new DE should come a new wiki area... one that can
blend itself into making an ebook as it follows the industry standard XML
protocol.

Well, that's my thoughts on the subject. I hope it does create sufficient
discussion that lubuntu may actually get a manual out.
