It's highly unlikely this is caused by this particular image or for that
matter, by Lubuntu itself. I would first check the other images (Ubuntu,
Xubuntu, etc.) and I'd also check other USB drives and I would also check
[mkusb][1] which uses `dd`, the most reliable way to deal with creating
installation media.
