I completely agree with you Richard, Us in the MA team are effectively
running on our pockets; we managed to pull money in with the ubuntu
case badge project and we'll see how much of that is left after the
shipping costs. but normal costs like getting t-shirts made just for
the volunteers at installfests just so they look half decent is
costly.

Even if the ubuntu-us group does not want to do country wide
activities, I do believe that running good projects where we all
colaberate and pool our demand will cut down on costs. For example we
paid almost $25 each (after setup fees) to get 25 tshirts made; we
could have dragged that price way down if we'd have made 400 or 1,000
of them and sent them out to other LoCos and you know if there is
demand for producing LoCo materials we should do that, because if one
LoCo can make pens and another can make stickers pretty soon we'll
have some cheap goodies bags to take to shows.

Saying that It's getting dicy, I have to calculate and find out if
there is sales tax to pay for this case badges project and that is
something I really need an accountant for; unless your team is blessed
enough to have one as a volunteer that sort of expertise costs money.
