Hi Leroy,
I should have been more specific. I did a clean install after a harddisk
failure. But you already solved part of my problem: the firewall script was
listed as disabled. I have to get used to systemd still I guess, didn't
think to check that, just that the startup files were present in rcS.d
Enabling it fixed the firewall. As it turns out smbd did start but keeps
coredumping on first start, have to look into that some more
