Black screen after update

Hi,
This happened quiete often with dev version (14.04 is for april).
I have a nvidia card because I stop with intel and ATI with ubuntu, 
maybe you should desinstall intel drivers and use xorg (by default) when 
no proprietary drivers.
Try to start in recovery mode (second option in start menu grub) and 
then enter the shell as root or sudo
Try startx to see if your X is working.
I am not an expert with this everytime I got it, I have to reinstall, 
but after googling sometimes I success. Update have broken files too and 
after another update it's corrected.
