I did everything you mentioned, and it tells me that those packages are already installed? But I still don't have any flash on websites. Any other ideas?

Obviously an internet connection.
Open "System Settings", then "Software Management"
Click "Settings" section
Then make sure the repositories with "restricted" in the name are selected.
Click the "Apply" button
Click the "Software Updates" section.
Click "Check for new Updates"
Click the "Get and Remove Software" section
Search on the aforementioned package, select it an install it.
Alternatively, once you apply the restricted repositories, close System Settings and from the CL
sudo apt-get updatesudo apt-get install kubuntu-restricted-extras

Ok... now I'm going to show my ignorance, I did as you said and I get:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package kubuntu-retricted
E: Unable to locate package extras
Is there something else I need to do first?
thanks,
Bob

Hi All,
I am new to kubuntu and to the list. I installed 11.04 x64 on an hp dv9260. Everything works great except for flashplayer. I installed the flashplayer installer, and ran about:plugin in firefox, nothing. I uninstalled flashplayer-installer and reinstalled it, nothing. Has anyone else had this problem?
thanks,
Bob
