DHCP timeout for WPA-encrypted WLAN network

Yeah lucky for me my netbook only moves between work and home and my mac
address is added on both the routers. So im sorted. (for now anyway)

btw, found a nice clear cut tutorial on using the wpa_supplicant to connect
using WPA or WPA2 that you might find useful!

Network managers usually just supply a gui for the iwconfig ifconfig and
wpa_supplicant setup and automates the process bringing interfaces online or
take them offline, some better than others though. iwconfig is a very useful
command for setting wlan settings. its basically ifconfig but only for
interfaces with wireless extensions and some added wireless specific
settings. You can setup a wireless connection using WEP by only using
iwconfig with no wpa_supplicant as far as i know.
