Jaunty icons mising from KEditFileType

An update to this, it seems to be the same with Kubuntu Karmic and sometimes 
it shows the menu and sometimes it doesn't. Also system settings -> file 
associations doesn't allow me to change the icon for some file types.

eg. I can't change the icon for vnd.sun.xml.base.
