Jaunty icons mising from KEditFileType

I recently upgraded to Jaunty and I'm having problems changing the icons for 
filetypes. If I right click on a file, select properties, click the 'edit file 
type' icon and then click the icon I don't see any entries in the menu 
opposite 'system icons' and 'other icons' doesn't show anything.

If I go to system settings -> file associations then it works.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
