In principle, I agree. But only if dolphin continues to grow and
become as good a file manager as konqueror was in 3.5.

Some of it seems to be bad default configuration. Why does konqueror
no longer have Back, Up and Forward buttons by default? Yes, I can
put them back but how useful is it to have a browser without them.
And I really like that konq has an up button. That comes, I think,
from the fact that it is a file browser, but I use it all the time
when browsing web sites--especially file repositories, but it is
useful for looking at many RESTful apps. I miss it when I'm in
Firefox.

Hey, thanks for the tip. Now I have tree view. Konq had many views,
most of which I didn't use, but someone probably did. I'm still
looking for my photo album view (of which 3.5 konqueror how two
variations--I'd settle for either one).

The fact that that kind of extensibility is possible makes me hopeful
that konq and the dolphin kpart will continue to grow and become as
handy to me as it one was.
