Thanks Eberhard. It fixed the problem. I wanted to delete that line, myself.
I was just afraid what might happen if I did it and it was wrong. What baffles
me is that just before you gave me the instruction to type in kdesudo kate, I
had just tried that, but I did not type in the address you did. I thought it
would open kate at least. I was wondering how I would be able to edit a page
that required kdesudo if kdesudo wouldn't open kate. I am the reason you need
vacations. Sorry, friend. I tried to get through the wine installation
without bothering the list. I went to every post that related to
installation.
Believe it or not, this old box has /home, /home/backup, /home/svprivate and
'/' for its mount points. That is a first, ever. Thanks once again.
