Problem with Live CD.

I recently downloaded a copy of Kubuntu Karmic Koala Alpha II, for AMD 64 bit 
system.  I made two copies and had each verified for accuracy, but when I try 
to use either of them, they do not seem to be recognized at boot up.  Boot 
goes straight to the normal boot.  Without installing, I want to try Koala 
out.

I checked to see if my boot sequence is set properly and CD is set first to 
boot.  I am not sure what else to do.  Should I download the ISO again, or is 
there something else I can try?  In Dolphin, the CD is recognized by name, in 
the column on the left.  TIA
