fvwm unable to initialize in Kubuntu 8.10...

Sure... But err It seems I was partially incorrect about the xserver
not changing the focus... The screen flashes a few bursts of color.
there is a rotating object (mouse pointer?) for a second or two then I
get:

And that is as far back in the screen output as I can get with <shift>+<page up>.
Note: That's what I get when I type:
startx fvwm
But if I instead type:
startx /usr/bin/fvwm
fvwm does start.

Yes that's basically what I did. Only I use cp and rm instead of mv...

Actually I called mine starmywm And I use "case $1 in" to select the
particular .xinitrc file. That way I can use the same script as I try
a fer more WMs...
I've been using ~/bin scripts for years...
