 I am amazed when you return and help me after making such a collosal blunder.  
Nils helped me correct the problem using the GUI.  I had some sticky keys 
problems.  When I entered System Settings>Accessibility, I unchecked the 
sticky keys entries from each tab and the problem went away.

I guess you didn't notice the RESOLVED post on the problem.  I am sorry you 
went to so much extra work, especially after my screw up earlier.  And what a 
post to make the mistake on.  I saved this post for additional study.  I 
prefer learning to use the console to solve my problems.  Those solutions 
create a much better understanding of what is happening.  I can't wait to get 
to the point where I can apply the ls and man pages to solve things.  I don't 
think I am too far away.  Thanks again friend.  You are the master of 
patience.
