Yes, it *is* irritating. I use Opera as well, but you can improve
matters in Firefox by installing the plugin 'noscript' and let it
block all scripts aside from the ones you really, really want. For
example letting youtube through, but not others. Furthermore the
plugin 'adblock plus' can block almost everything.
