I do - but I also think that the attitude that it's "something that isn't
going to change in our distro" is the biggest factor. It seems clear to
me, and many, that _user_ opinion has been largely ignored, and that's very
sad.

I'm sure you're right - but one doesn't have to have actually tried the
latest KDE4 to know you're not going to be happy with it. I'm subscribed
to a dozen or more KDE bug reports - all going back more than a year - and
ONE of them has actually been closed with the release of KDE4, and yet
every one of them is imo a serious usability issue. Not a good record.
I'm not nearly so much upset with KDE4 as with the general progress of
KDE-PIM in the last 3 years (that is, absolutely zero because everything
has been marked for correction in KDE4).
