I have a test machine. Stock install of 8.04 only. Upgraded to 8.10 the day
before yesterday, and I can't get the video to work properly. When the
resolution is right, the mouse is invisible. It is there. I see things
highlight when this invisible thing is apparently hovering over them, and I
can click on them.

I tried reconfiguring X and even restoring a formerly working copy of
xorg.conf. but still no good. I think I am going to install the Gnome
version and see if it is 8.10 itself, or the Kubuntu flavor.
