What do you have in /etc/dbus-1/system.conf?

That's another "hmmm". I usually figure I can break my system, but it will
always start with a LiveCD. But I'd tend to agree that that usually shows
some kind of hardware that the LiveCD doesn't recognize - which would be
pretty odd since the older software does...
