How do you set up the mouse config so that it is stable? WAS How do you make the logitech mouse work right?

If you don't move, insert or remove your USB devices then they will
often have same device name , but as Derek said it could not be
guaranteed. It will also depend on when the driver is loaded so if you
unload some drivers for your USB devices and then load them i think
the device name will change. You probably don't unload your drivers
that often but it happens. In any case the best way to specify a
device should be to use its id-name under /dev/input/by-id/ for input
devices and /dev/disk/by-id/ for disks.
