I was answering Derek saying:

Indeed it is so easy to fix that we can hardly call it a problem, but for the
point below (***)

You'r quite right, Lisi,
and if you feel your are missing something it is because my thinking got
somewhat obfusciated.
Indeed if I had to write an "Howto: Gmail-with-lists-and-mail-agent" that
suggestion would be among the firsts.
I also found out that the easiest way to incorporate my mails in the thread
was to pull it from the sent mail folder but didn't like the different icon,
the lozange letter instead of rectangle sheet...it's so futile, and I can live
with it.

I guess I'm making a hullabaloo because it doesn't work as it used to.
Or I like sometimes solving problems (at least try)...
but why make it work *as it used to* instead of just making it work ?

(***)The only thing wrong about your suggestion is that we have no
confirmation our mail made it to the list unless/until we get an answer.

I thank you, and all the others, for your contributions, they have made things
clearer in my mind. I will probably do some more testing, but just for fun.

Greetings Perry
