I had a quick glance about Knode. Since I have long organised my mails,
including for lists, in Kmail, I would prefer to stick with that option.
Concerning the second SMTP to send I phoned the technical support of my
provider (sunrise) to ask if it would be possible to use smtp.sunrise.ch
instead of smtp.gmail.com and they didn't belive it would interface with
gmail.
The guy offered other suggestions: create a filter on mails from me to me
(spwhite at sunrise.ch) and redirect them to either the same address or to
another mailbox I can open there.
The filter complained when the redirection was to spwhite at sunrise.ch but I
could trick it to accept a redirection to spwhite at freesurf.ch, my old address
which my friends can still use because it is redirected.
I hope I don't explode Gmail with an infinite recursion as I try this approch
(just now)
I may need other trials if I have to create another mailbox.
