Missing Open Application buttons on Taskbar

Your clock etc are on the left because your task manager is missing. right 
click on the desktop choose "add widget" scroll down to "task manager" and 
drag it to your taskbar and drop it on the right side of your application 
launcher button. Now you should see your open windows etc, and your clock 
etc, etc should now go back to the right side of the screen.

after this, right click on the desktop and choose "lock widgets"
