I seriously doubt there is a problem with the server. I've been using 
the same service as you for about sixteen years now with both Windows 
and Linux. Every once in a while there will be a "hickup" with the net 
but no serious problems. I still feel like there is some configuration 
problem with kmail but I'm not a kmail user so have no idea. I've been a 
T-Bird user ever since they released the first version and prefer it to 
all others.
