Why would you install compiz in Intrepid when Kwin has desktop effects
or do you mean that? One other thing that takes resources is Nepomuk
and Strigi. I deactivated them as i don't know how to use them and
there don't seem to be a tool to use them. And today i discovered that
myth-backend constant accessing my /var disk giving a constant load
over 1.

The programs taking most CPU for me is:
firefox
npviewer.bin
X
Kwin
plasma
artsd
knotify4
