Funny thing there is I finally got rid of Dapper after sound got busted 
horribly.  All I ever did to it was apply security updates, and I have no 
idea WTF happened, but it was nasty.  I thought my hardware was tanking, but 
no, it's perfectly fine.  It was Dapper.  Something broke it badly, and I 
would have bet money that wasn't possible, and lost.
