Right - fstab is a configuration file which tells the system where to 
mount particular partitions. The location is /etc/fstab.

From the "System Menu" which is located in the system tray besides 
the "K-Menu" select "Storage Media". There you can find your USB drive 
and other hard drives. From there you can drag the drive to your desktop,  
select the option "Link Here" in the popup menu.
